John D. Smith III (Jay) is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who specializes in orthopaedics at Mississippi Orthopaedic Institute located in Gulfport, MS. He is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center and is licensed by the State of Mississippi.  

Jay completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Alabama and then his Master of Science in Nursing-Acute Care from the University of South Alabama College of Nursing. He also received his Registered Nurse First Assist certification from the National Institute of First Assisting.
